- Circa 1819 Captain Maner died and the plantation fell first to his estate and then to his son, Samuel Maner, several years later, about 1827-1828 (4, pp. 88-89, 91).

The two-story house is believed to date back to the 1830s and was still standing in 2016 (2).
- 1832 William M. Riley acquired the plantation from Samuel Maner (4, pp. 88-89).
- 1847 or 1848 Joseph Maner Lawton, Jr. bought Hamilton Ridge from Riley (1, X: 36) (4, pp. 88, 91).
- ? International Paper purchased the plantation (2).
- 2006 The state of South Carolina reached an agreement with International Paper to purchase the property. The property was transferred to the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources for management (2).
