Charles Gillham and his wife, Elizabeth Kinkade, moved to York County from Augusta County, Virginia purchasing land on the west side of Bullocks Creek (1).

- 1800 Charles Gillham had passed away and his will stipulated that his "well beloved daughter Sarah Gillham and her heirs [receive] 100 acres on the west side of Bullocks Creek known by the name of the Duckpond Plantation or place" (1).
